House Fellowship

Encouraging the spiritual growth of members

The Vision

The vision for the House Fellowship in RCCG is positioned on encouraging the spiritual growth of members by the word of God through the Holy Spirit, prayers and teachings in home-churches. These home-churches also known as House Fellowship Centres provide every member and guest with an avenue of active involvement whereby we pray together, read the scriptures together, eat together and horn our spiritual gifts for service. It is a place to practice generosity and hospitality.

What takes place at our House Fellowship meetings?

We meet from 6:00 pm every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) with the purpose of developing our personal growth centred on the word of God and pursuing disciples for Jesus by witnessing locally.

Our House Fellowships are hosted by members who have made their homes available as centres for the furtherance of God’s work. Each centre has a teacher who leads the group in the day’s Bible Study using the RCCG House Fellowship manual.

Those who attend help one another understand the word of God and grow in their relationship with God. It serves as a powerful mission tool allowing for the spread of the gospel in the neighbourhood where different groups exist.

We encourage church members and guests to join the House Fellowship Centre closest to your place of residence.

Benefits of the House Fellowship

1. It is the first unit of care for such a time as the care of a mother who has just given birth, newlyweds, a family that may be struggling, people with emotional, spiritual, physical or material needs, and all the rest of them.

2. It is also a place to minister to those who are bereaved and are grieving over loved ones that have been taken away from them. It is a place of support, solace, and comfort.

3. It is a place that makes people feel right whilst giving them a sense of value and esteem. It is a family you could really call your own. After the disciples were released by the council the Bible says that they went to their own company, their own companion, their own people; the family of God they truly belonged to.

4. The house fellowship can also encourage us in the Lord, and foster our Christian growth and walk with God and it is an outlet to serve God and one another.

5. The house fellowship is a place we can stir, motivate, and inspire ourselves to good works (Hebrews 10: 24-26), and even do greater works.

6. Lastly, the house fellowship can grow to become a church and is an outlet to bring in the end-time global harvest.
